When sending large oil paintings over 60 cm abroad.   I always take the painting off its stretcher bars, roll it up and post it to you in a postal tube via registered post. 

You will then have to arrange for the piece to be stretched and framed yourself by a reputable framer. 

When doing this there is no extra charge for handling or shipping.

Paintings sent outside the EU may be subjected to import duty.
